Discover Yourself.

Do you feel disconnected from yourself? Are you longing for a real, human connection with the land, nature, and people?

You Are Not Alone.

Today’s pace of life and the noise of busy cities have pushed many away from life’s simplest joys. Every year, five million people visit Tanzania in search of purpose. But are they finding what they came for?

Tanzania Landscape

Tanzania is a Gift.

Being born and raised here, we understand the truth: Tanzania is a paradise with everything the soul longs for. But we observed something important—many visitors leave having enjoyed a trip, yet missing something far more valuable: Transformation.

We believe you should not leave Tanzania the same person you were when you arrived. Travel should be more than movement; it should be a connection.

Resilience

Planting a tree to keep Kilimanjaro green—leaving the environment better than you found it.

The Seed of Our Journey

In 2007, Catherine Mulvale climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. After reaching the summit, she felt a calling to help the people of Tanzania. Under the guidance of Respecius Baitwa, she visited a humble home in Mirerani.

It was the home of the late John Petro—a simple man with an extraordinary heart—who had taken orphans into his own house and cared for them with the very little he had.

Catherine left with a calling to bring together her global network to give these children a place to belong. Today, that home is Rafiki Child Care Home, giving hope to 36 children within its walls and hundreds more outside them.

One of those children is the founder of Resilience Expeditions—Godwin Nyerere. The idea grew into the Global Friends Foundation, which now empowers communities across Africa.

"Resilience Expeditions is not just a travel company. It is the fruit of resilience, kindness, and a journey that began with one person deciding to make a difference."
