The recommended Dream Kilimanjaro route — most scenic, best acclimatisation profile, highest success rate. Starts from the remote Londorossi Gate through pristine rainforest before joining the Southern Circuit to Uhuru Peak.
500 Dreamers. One Mountain. One World.
Dream Kilimanjaro 2026 is a joint expedition between Resilience Expeditions and the Global Friends Foundation — a campaign built around a simple idea: the mountain has the power to change the person who climbs it, and that person can turn around and change a community too.
We're not just selling a Kilimanjaro trek. We're inviting you into a chain of support that starts on the mountain and lands in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable youth in Tanzania — young people who deserve the same chance to build something real that the mountain gives every climber who reaches the top.
Sign-ups are open now. Climb dates run throughout 2026 — choose a window that works for your schedule and start training. Every Dreamer gets two things: the mountain, and the connection.
Climb dates available across all of 2026. Best months for summit success: January–March and June–October. Tell us your preferred window and we build around it.
In 2006, Catherine Mulvale visited Tanzania and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. During her time on the mountain, she was deeply touched by the people she met and by what she experienced in Tanzania. She felt a strong calling to do something meaningful to support children and communities facing difficult circumstances.
That experience became the beginning of a much bigger journey. Catherine returned home determined to help, and this eventually led to the creation of the Global Friends Foundation.
One of the foundation’s earliest projects was transforming a two-room mud hut that housed 36 orphaned children and two caregivers into a proper, safe home — the Rafiki Orphan Care Home — complete with dormitories, washrooms, a kitchen, and safe water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene.
Global Friends stayed connected with many of those children throughout their educational journeys. Today, some have gone on to become teachers, tourism professionals, and university and vocational students.
The foundation’s work has since grown far beyond that first home. It is now a registered charitable organization run by volunteers, working to empower orphaned and vulnerable young people to become educated, capable, and self-sustaining. Its scholarship programs have helped support young people in Tanzania, with graduates going on to build careers and create better futures for themselves and their families.
Catherine’s first journey to Kilimanjaro ultimately became much more than a mountain experience. It sparked a lasting commitment to Tanzania and to creating opportunities for young people. Dream Kilimanjaro 2026 continues that legacy, bringing Catherine’s vision together with Resilience Expeditions, a Tanzanian-based company founded by someone whose own life was changed by that same support.
You're not just booking a Kilimanjaro trek. You're joining a package built around two things happening side by side — your personal summit and a real community connection that lands in a specific place.
A complete Kilimanjaro trek with Resilience Expeditions — led by experienced, certified local guides on your route of choice. Every Dreamer climbs with -certified porters (fair wages, proper gear, humane load limits), a dedicated cook team, all meals, park fees, and accommodation from gate to gate.
Your route, your schedule, your summit. We build it around you — whether you choose the iconic Lemosho 8-day, the popular Machame Whiskey Route, the accessible Marangu Coca-Cola Route, or any of the paths described in this page.
Longer routes allow better acclimatisation and meaningfully higher summit success rates. We'll recommend the right route for your fitness and timeline when you sign up.
As part of the Dream Kilimanjaro package, we connect you directly with an orphanage or community project supported by the Global Friends Foundation. This is built into your itinerary — not an optional add-on bolted on afterward.
A dedicated community visit day is arranged around your trek dates. You will see, and contribute to, where the impact actually lands: a child who now goes to school because someone climbed the mountain; a teenager who has learned a trade and is supporting their family.
You get the mountain. The community gets a Dreamer who showed up for more than the view.
The community day is built into your package, arranged around your trek dates. It is a dedicated visit to a Global Friends-supported project where you will meet the people your climb supports. Not a photo opportunity. A real meeting. Many Dreamers maintain contact with Global Friends long after their climb ends.
Kilimanjaro is a non-technical climb — no ropes or climbing experience required — but it is a serious physical undertaking. We build every Dreamer's itinerary around giving you the best real shot at the summit, not just the fastest one.
The Global Friends Foundation is a registered charitable organization run entirely by volunteers, working to empower orphaned and vulnerable youth around the world to become educated, capable, and self-sustaining.
The Rafiki Orphan Care Home transformed a two-room mud hut into a proper, safe home — dormitories, washrooms, a kitchen, and safe water — for 36 orphans who had no other option.
Scholarship programs help supplement government efforts to educate needy youth. Graduates now work at Kilimanjaro International Airport, logistics companies, and tour operators.
Every child in a Global Friends-supported home has access to clean, safe water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene — a basic need that transforms health and learning outcomes.
Some of the children from the first Rafiki home are now teachers — giving back to the next generation in the same communities that once supported them.
Former orphans now employed at Kilimanjaro International Airport, logistics firms, and local tour operators — real financial independence and real community contribution.
The Global Friends Foundation's mission has grown well beyond Tanzania — empowering orphaned and vulnerable youth around the world to become self-sustaining community members.
All six Kilimanjaro routes are available to Dream 2026 participants. Every package includes -certified crew, all meals, park fees, accommodation, and your community connection day with Global Friends Foundation.
The recommended Dream Kilimanjaro route — most scenic, best acclimatisation profile, highest success rate. Starts from the remote Londorossi Gate through pristine rainforest before joining the Southern Circuit to Uhuru Peak.
The "Whiskey Route" — Tanzania's most popular Kilimanjaro path. Dramatic scenery through multiple climate zones, the iconic Shira Plateau, and a long exposed summit ridge. Serious but deeply rewarding.
The "Coca-Cola Route" — the only route with mountain hut accommodation. Gentler gradients make it accessible for first-time altitude trekkers. Starts and ends at Marangu Gate through beautiful montane forest.
The only route approaching from Tanzania's north (Kenya side). Quieter, drier, and particularly reliable in the long rains when other routes suffer. Excellent wildlife encounters in the lower forest zones.
The most direct, most demanding route on Kilimanjaro. Steep, forested ridges lead quickly to altitude — for experienced, very fit Dreamers who want a serious personal challenge and near-solitude on the mountain.
The longest and most complete Kilimanjaro experience — circumnavigating the entire northern side for the finest acclimatisation possible. The highest summit success rate of any route on the mountain.
Summit Kilimanjaro on your chosen route, rest in Moshi, then head north for the full Northern Circuit safari — Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, and Manyara — with your dedicated community day with Global Friends Foundation woven throughout. One booking. One team. Zero coordination stress.
Every Dream Kilimanjaro 2026 package is fully all-inclusive from Arusha to the summit and back. The price you see covers everything on this list. No surprises at the gate.

Three hot, nutritious meals per day from gate to gate — breakfast, lunch, and dinner — plus hot drinks at altitude. Dietary requirements accommodated on request.
All tents, sleeping mats, and dining tents provided and carried by the porter team. Private tent for each Dreamer unless specifically requesting to share.
KINAPA entry fees, rescue fees, camping fees, and all gate taxes for every day on the mountain. No additional payments at any gate — ever.
Return transfers from your Arusha or Moshi hotel to the park gate and back. We collect you from your accommodation — no taxi coordination required.
Your dedicated visit to a Global Friends Foundation-supported project, built into every Dream package at no additional cost. Meet the people your climb supports.

These are climbers who used the mountain for something bigger than a summit photo — and came back changed by both the mountain and the community they met at its foot.
"I came to climb Kilimanjaro and ticked off the summit — but the day we visited the Rafiki Home is the one I actually carry with me. Meeting the children, seeing what Global Friends built, understanding why Godwin runs this operation the way he does. That's the memory that changed something in me."
"The certification matters more than I understood before I went. Knowing the people carrying my bags were paid fairly, had warm gear, and weren't being exploited made the whole climb feel different. I'd never knowingly support an operator who didn't prioritise that. Resilience Expeditions walked the talk."
"I am a teacher. When I met the young woman at the community visit who had gone from the Rafiki home to university to a classroom of her own, I understood exactly why I had signed up for this climb. The mountain was extraordinary. The meeting was the point."
Sign-ups are open now, with climb dates running throughout 2026 — so you can choose a window that works for your schedule and start training. Ready to be one of the 500?
